Built to get one thing right

Bilvo does customers, invoices, payments and receipts. It does them properly, and it doesn't ask you to learn accounting first.

Invoicing

An invoice you'd be happy to receive

Fast to write, clear to read, and correct — the API recalculates every total on save, so what your customer sees is never a rounding error.

Line items that add up

Description, quantity, unit price. Subtotal and total recalculate as you type, so you see the figure before you commit to it.

Tax and charges, your way

Add as many tax, discount or charge lines as you need. Each one is a flat amount or a percentage of the subtotal — VAT at 7.5% and a fixed service charge on the same invoice.

Quick invoice

No customer record needed. Type a name and an email and send — useful for a one-off job you won't repeat.

Duplicate and edit

Bill the same thing again by duplicating it. Drafts stay editable; once an invoice is sent, its numbers are fixed so your records stay honest.

Payments

Getting paid shouldn't be the hard part

Every invoice you send carries a payment link and its own secure page. Your customer taps once and pays.

Flutterwave and Paystack

Connect either or both. Flutterwave reaches cards globally and local African rails; Paystack is strong across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Kenya.

Hosted checkout only

Your customer enters their card on the gateway's own page, never on Bilvo. That's a deliberate limit: card details are never ours to lose.

Invoice in any currency

Pick the currency per invoice. There's no conversion — the gateway charges your customer the exact amount you invoiced, in the currency you invoiced it.

Paid, without you checking

The gateway tells us the moment a payment succeeds. Status becomes Paid and the receipt is sent, whether or not you're at your desk.

The client portal

One page, one action

Every invoice gets a secure link of its own. It shows your branding, the invoice, and a Pay now button — and it keeps working even if your customer deletes the email. Once it's paid, the same page offers the receipt.

Customers and receipts

The admin that usually gets forgotten

Records that stay tidy without being maintained, and receipts that go out whether or not you remember.

A record per customer

Name, email, phone, address and notes, plus every invoice you've ever sent them. Search it when you can't remember which one hasn't paid.

Receipts on payment

Generated and emailed automatically on payment, whether that payment came through the link or you marked it paid yourself. Includes method, reference, date and amount.

Templates to choose from

Pick the layout that suits the work. Your logo, business details and totals drop into whichever one you choose.

Reminders that go out on time

A nudge before the due date, and follow-ups after it. Your customer hears from Bilvo so you don't have to write the awkward email.

What Bilvo doesn’t do yet

So you can decide with the full picture rather than find out later.

  • Recurring or subscription invoices — bill repeat work by duplicating an invoice for now.
  • Part payments on a single invoice. Split the work into separate invoices instead.
  • Team members and permissions. One account per business, for the moment.
  • Expense tracking, ledgers and accounting reports beyond the basics on your dashboard.
  • Payment methods beyond Flutterwave and Paystack.
  • SMS and WhatsApp notifications — everything goes by email in this version.
